Tubular Heating Elements Cook Faster, Use less Power
A restaurant chain was looking to reduce cooking time and lower replacement costs for deep fat fryer heaters.
Watlow recommended replacing a competitor's strip heaters with FIREBAR® flat tubular heaters. Renown for their efficiency, easy installation and long life, these benefits became apparent to the restaurant chain after testing was conducted at one of their local franchises. Four 3-phase FIREBAR heaters with 12 kW total power put more heat into the load by cooking chicken in 13 minutes, while 14 kW of competitive strip heaters took 15 minutes and used more power. Installation time was dramatically reduced by the FIREBAR heaters. Faster mounting and wiring saved approximately one hour.
