Silicone Rubber Heaters Keep Stamp Vending Machines Vending

Problem:

A leading manufacturer of postage stamp vending machines needed a way to prevent moisture build-up and freezing when installed outdoors.

Solution:

The customer bonded a Watlow silicone rubber heater using RTV to the inside bottom surface of his cabinet enclosure. The heaters kept the electric motors from becoming sluggish, the coin acceptor functioning, and the machine free of moisture in wet weather. Two heater sizes were supplied for different size machines. The heater included several large notches for mounting around some of the close fitting mechanisms inside the machine. Spade terminals provided quick installation and removal.
