International Women’s Day Celebrations Across Watlow® Sites

In celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 and this year’s theme, "Accelerate Action," Watlow sites around the world came together to recognize and honor the women who help drive our purpose forward. From inspiring leadership sessions to fun team-building moments, here’s how our global teams marked the occasion:

St. Louis, USA

On March 12, team members gathered for an engaging session led by Dan Lee, Watlow’s Chief Operating Officer, and moderated by Erica McKeon, Chief Human Resources Officer. Dan shared her inspiring personal journey through challenges, career growth, and leadership—reinforcing the power of taking action.
The event also featured Victoria Kuntz, Senior Engineer, who introduced Women of Watlow (WoW) initiatives focused on mentorship, professional development, and leadership opportunities.

Malaysia

On March 6, the Malaysia team celebrated with purple cupcakes, group photos, and a heartfelt video featuring wishes from team members and site leaders. The symbolic color purple—representing justice, dignity, and loyalty—was worn proudly throughout the site.

Singapore

On March 13, team members gathered to watch Dan Lee’s recorded sharing session. The celebration included group photos and small appreciation gifts, creating a thoughtful and connected moment across the team.

Philippines

On March 14, the Philippines team honored six outstanding Women of Watlow with IWD sashes and Starbucks gift cards. The fun continued with interactive games:
“Knowing You, Knowing Me, Aha!”—a guessing game based on the Proust Questionnaire, and
 “Glam Me Up”—a blindfolded team challenge with accessory stickers.
The celebration closed with inspiring video messages from Watlow leaders Dennis Long, Xin Liu, and Roly Juliano, followed by snacks and prizes.

Mexico

Watlow de Mexico hosted IWD activities across three sites, including a special recognition of inspiring women through the WoW program.
Team members showed solidarity by wearing purple and participated in a joyful WoW Picnic, which featured personalized canvas tote bag painting and a relaxing yoga session in the park.
The celebration also included a leadership panel where site leaders shared powerful stories to promote strength and resilience across the teams.

India

In Chennai, the team marked IWD with a celebratory lunch and cake. The facility was decorated with purple balloons and rangolis—vibrant traditional designs that symbolize welcome and prosperity. Team members wore traditional purple attire to highlight the spirit of the day.
