Screw Plug Heaters
Screw plug heater designed for precise immersion heating of liquids in industrial tanks and vessels, with advanced safety and control options.
-
Watlow® screw plug immersion heater is engineered for direct immersion heating of industrial liquids such as water, oils, solvents and process solutions. Designed for installation into tanks, vessels and piping systems, it ensures fast heat-up times, high thermal efficiency, and application reliability.
These heaters incorporate Watlow's proven WATROD® round tubular and FIREBAR® flat tubular elements. WATROD offers uniform heating and long life, while FIREBAR delivers high watt density and minimizes sheath temperature, making both ideal for immersion into liquids and challenging environments.
Optional features include thermocouple probes, over-temperature (OT) switches, and explosion- or moisture-resistant enclosures to meet safety and control requirements. Screw plug heaters can be shaped to fit your system and are available in various sizes, watt densities, and materials.
Common applications include:
• Foodservice and plastic processing
• Chemical tanks and lubricant heating
• Medical and analytical equipment
• Power generation and semiconductor systemsConfigurable through Watlow SELECT®, these screw plug heaters support a broad range of thermal applications with fast delivery and expert engineering guidance.
