At Watlow®, we recognize the importance of learning, experimenting, and building your career. Our student programs are a great way for you to gain hands-on experience and on-the-job learning from the start. As you collaborate with various Watlow team members and mentors, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and engaging projects while strengthening your skills outside of the classroom.
Programs
This full-time, six-month rotational program is designed to fast-track technical graduates, providing hands-on experience across various roles, functions, and business units within Watlow. Through this immersive program, you will gain exposure to cutting-edge projects, build a robust professional network, and enhance your technical knowledge, all while being guided by experienced mentors.
Rotations
During the program, you will rotate through three unique two-month assignments, offering you the chance to:
- Experience different Watlow sites while learning about different technologies, products and customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment or technical development center
- Build meaningful connections with team members at different levels across multiple locations
Your rotational journey will take you to various sites, offering relocation, housing, and transportation for each assignment. Rotations are customized based on projects to ensure you gain the most valuable experiences to prepare you for your future role at Watlow.
Destinations include:
- Columbia, MO
- Hannibal, MO
- San Jose, CA
- St. Louis, MO
- Winona, MN
Mentorship
You will be paired with a senior engineer who will provide personalized coaching and guidance, ensuring you stay on track for both professional and personal development.
Learning & Development
This is not just a learning experience – it’s an opportunity to make an impact. You will be working on real-world projects, applying your classroom knowledge in practical settings, and contributing to strategic business initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering-related field (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, materials science and engineering, manufacturing engineering, etc.)
- Availability to start the program in July 2025
- Willingness to relocate to various Watlow facilities for up to six months
Desired Qualifications
- Previous co-op or internship experience
- Proven experience working effectively in teams through participation in student organizations, extracurricular activities, or other collaborative experiences.

Qualifications to Apply:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or computer engineering, operations management, engineering management, industrial engineering, electronics, computer engineering, computer science or related engineering degree
- Must be at a minimum sophomore second semester status, junior status preferred, by start of co-op or internship
- Available to start in either June 2025 or January 2026
- For co-op: Ability to relocate to a Watlow location for the duration of your co-op; housing stipend will be provided
