Thermowells are manufactured from drilled bar stock and provide a pressure-tight connection at the point of installation. Watlow manufactures ceramic and metal protecting tubes. These tubes protect the sensor from harsh environments. Unlike thermowells, they are not primarily designed for pressure-tight applications. Protection tubes are often used in heat treatment furnaces, ovens, open containers, flues and ducts.

Watlow offers a variety thermocouple heads, connector blocks, open terminations, thermocouple mounting fittings and thermocouple insulators for use with our thermocouples.
